Update on UDS
Windows Version 2.0
UDS continues to put the finishing touches on Version 2.0 with an
expected release some time this summer. Following are some of
the highlights that will be included with this version.
-
Sales Agent number
expanded to 5 digits.
-
Co-broker number
converted to a 6 digit number.
-
While you are still
limited to entering a transaction amount no larger than
9,999,999.99, the monthly place value within the General Ledger
master file has been expanded to store a 10 digit number (i.e. 99,999,999.99).
-
Real estate
transaction file expanded to use list side and/or sale side
transaction splits other than 100 for one agent per side, 50/50
for two agents on the same side, 33/33/33 for three agents on
the same side, 25/25/25/25 for four agents on the same side,
etc.
-
Real estate
commission plan application expanded to
evaluate associates based on the previous 3 quarters or previous 2
quarters.
-
E-mail capability to
company employees, sales associates, vendors, PM/RM landlords, PM
tenants, and RM renters.
-
The ability to enter
data into the UDS general ledger module via an Excel
spreadsheet.
-
GL interface to
Quicken and Peachtree applications.
-
The ability to
convert UDS reports to PDF format.
-
Additional
exportation of data to Microsoft Excel.
-
The ability to preview
a report without having to go to the spooler file.
Additional items hoping to make the final cut:
-
Research by check
number. This feature will allow the user to search the
history file to locate a transaction by the check number.
All pertinent information regarding the check including accounts
disbursed will available.
-
Vendor open item
selection arranged by due date.
-
Vendor history in
the Property Management and Resort Management modules
Forward thinking: Previous to this version, UDS has operated
on a screen resolution of 640 x 480. Due to the expansion of some screens within
the system for version 2.0, the recommended screen resolution will
be 800 X 600. If you have monitors that do not allow this
resolution, UDS will still work but it will be less convenient to
use since the user will have to use a scroll bar to move the screen
around instead of being able to see the entire screen at one time.
Replacement of these monitors should
be considered in the near future.
